VAR has been a huge talking point in football since its introduction and more often it’s negative feedback.
The technology has seen the game change dramatically with decisions talking ages a long time to be decided and the game is being slowed down as a result.

VAR has also turned the offside rule into an over-precise game of cat and muse between strikers and the officials who overlook the technology.
Well on Monday VAR (unusually) awarded a goal to be onside after it was initially flagged to be off.

The player at the centre of the dispute was none other than AC Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Ibrahimovic has scored what he thought to be his second goal against Cagliari but the linesman ruled the veteran striker to be offside.
The decision was disputed and after reviewing the footage the referee awarded the goal to which Zlatan reacted to by staring down the linesman.
It’s not very often decision like that happen these days so it was good to see and no better man to get it his way than Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
