While Belgium’s supreme quality eventually shone through and they won the game by a 3-1 scoreline, Wales produced a moment within the first 10 minutes that will leave the nation encouraged about their chances about progressing from their qualifying group
With Gareth Bale at the very heart of the move, Wales showcased textbook one-touch passing in attack, carving their way through the Belgium defence before Liverpool loanee Harry Wilson beat Thibaut Courtois before the Real Madrid keeper was able to set himself.
On paper, they have left Belgium empty-handed, with no points on the board, but when you’re able to play football of this quality against one of the best international teams on the planet, you can only consider it a good thing. What a brilliant goal.
