Video: Unbelievable scenes in Spain as Sevilla keeper Bono scores 94th minute equaliser

Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, who goes by the name of ‘Bono’, scored an injury time equaliser last night to snatch a point against Real Valladolid.

When the seconds are ticking down towards the full-time whistle and a team finds themselves chasing a goal, it’s not unordinary to see a goalkeeper trot forward to attack a set-piece in the opposition penalty area.

It’s one of those things in the game that, no matter how frequently it occurs, it’ll never be any less exciting. The entire viewing audience find themselves asking, “surely he couldn’t?”

In Bono’s case, with Sevilla trailing 1-0 away to Real Valladolid yesterday evening, he did.

Bono made his way forward to give Sevilla another option in the box for a corner. While the initial delivery did not find its way to the keeper, Valladolid’s shambolic defending allowed the visitors to keep it alive, with Bono eventually being the lucky recipient of the ball back across goal.

Absolute scenes…
