Southampton boy through and through James Ward-Prowse nearly scored the most audacious goal against Arsenal as he attempted a shot on target directly from the corner.
The English midfielder has earned his stripes as a set piece specialist and begins to show more and more every week just how good he is at striking a dead ball with him scoring so many free-kicks over the past seasons.
The confidence it must take to attempt this when he spots the keeper slightly off the line and he takes it on his right foot.
He curves the ball and it unfortunately bounces off of the crossbar and out for a goal kick. We were inches away from seeing this in every headline for a month.

Arsenal then crashed out of the FA Cup with Gabriel’s own goal proving the decider. Southampton will now progress to the next round.
