🚨 Ashley Young makes feelings clear after son Tyler was unused substitute in FA Cup tie

Ashley Young took to social media on Friday morning, after Darren Ferguson had defended his decision to leave Tyler Young on the bench for their FA Cup clash against Everton.

Everton booked their place in the fourth round of the cup after a 2-0 win against Peterborough.

Ahead of the game though, the talk was of the possibility of Tyler Young facing his dad on the pitch which would have been a lovely moment for them both.

Sadly for Tyler he failed to get on the pitch and was an unused substitute at Goodison Park.

His boss, Darren Ferguson decided not to bring him on and explained his decision in his post-match press conference.

“It was very difficult to leave Tyler on the bench, I wanted him on, but I’ve got to get a forward on to get a goal,” Ferguson

“One of their players had a pop at me which was out of order.”

Following Everton’s victory over Peterborough, Ashley Young appeared to make his feelings clear in a post on x formerly Twitter, he wrote, “GUTTED……”

Fans reacted to his post on the platform.

One said: ‘Darren Ferguson literally has a career because of nepotism. He is a disgrace.’

Another added: ‘It would have been lovely to see, hopefully you get the chance again.’

A third defended Ferguson: ‘Manager was right, no point bringing on a defender at 1-0 down.’

A fourth replied: ‘That match wasnt a family meeting,you’ll play together at home.’
