The U18 Manchester derby has had a very bizarre moment with Manchester United walking the ball into the Manchester City net directly from kick off.
The fight to find what colour Manchester truly is for the U18s in underway at Manchester United’s Carrington training centre today and it was where a bizarre goal happened.
A Man City player seemed to show unsportsmanlike conduct by kicking the ball into the back of the United net when the team was unprepared so the City team came together to let United score into an empty City net.
It’s very rare to see such respect in a derby game where Manchester City let United keep their two goal lead. The referee saw no issue with Man City’s goal so they could have kept the score at 2-1 if they liked.
