The Lions and Welsh winger, come full-back was playing for the Scarlets last night in the Pro14 against Welsh rivals Cardiff blues and having lost 29-20 away from home. Williams was shown a straight red card in the 37th minute of the game for leading with his head into a ruck which was deemed dangerous play. Hard to agree against it really when you look at the video.
In Williams defence it is hard to slow yourself down and ruck correctly when it’s at that speed. But that’s the game now you have to duty of care when going into contact and he’s comment was needless

Scarlets are now third in conference B and 13 points behind conference leaders Munster and will highly unlikely make the play-off, but what Williams should be worried about is getting into the Lions squad if there is a tour to South Africa this summer and Six Nations before that.
