Leverkusen currently sit second in the Bundesliga just 1 point behind leaders Bayern Munich and is it any wonder they’re in a title race with European champions Bayern when their players are pulling off things like this.
The confidence of the Leverkusen players is absolutely sky high and rightfully so as Amiri has just destroyed both the Frankfurt defence and goalkeeper in one fowl swoop. When receiving a pass from his teammate, Nadiem take the first touch and nutmegs Erik Drum with ease to then spin around control the ball before backheel nutmegging Kevin Trapp. The ball just rolls into the back of the Frankfurt net and there’s nothing they could have done about it.
