Michael Owen was on BT Sport last night with Rio Ferdinand, Gary Lineker and Peter Crouch and he claimed that “Bayern Munich weren’t the best team in Europe last season” outrageous claim and the former Liverpool and English striker took a hammering for it on twitter.

Bayern Munich won the Champions League last year and won the German league and everything else that was on offer to win, so puzzling this claim from the BT Sports pundit. Bayern Munich are currently four goals to one up against Lazio in their last 16 tie against the Italian side.
It will take a lot to stop this Bayern Munich side again this year with some quality players in their ranks. Bayern Munich are also back to of the Bundesliga after a very impressive display against Borussia Dortmund at the weekend, so to say the German powerhouse aren’t that good is crazy you would have to think.
