Video: Hilarious moment rugby player mistakes train-horn for final whistle

The Edinburgh scrum-half had a confusing day at the office with the pro-14 all Scottish affair between and Glasgow and Edinburgh ending with a very tight score.

Nearing the end of the first half and the score was Glasgow 6-10 Edinburgh, a train passed in the distance but it gave visiting scrum half Nic Groom the impression that 40 minutes had passed.

He was then seen running back towards his own line for far too long before kicking the ball directly out inside his own 22. I don’t know how they do things in South Africa, where he’s originally from but trains don’t tell you when it’s half time in Scotland anyway.

Glasgow then took their opportunity and scored another three points before heading into the break, with this change in momentum the Glaswegians came out swinging in the second half and ended up winning the game 23-22.

One point of a difference and it’s nearly entirely Nic Groom’s fault for listening to a train, a tough day at the office for the number 9 but I’m sure he’s professional enough to get over it.
