Video: David De Gea pulls off acrobatic save to stop Watkins header

David De Gea has been under fire after a decline in his performance over the past years, a goalkeeper who seemingly peaked at a young age was widely considered the best no.1 in the world for quite some time was nearly replace by young Dean Henderson recently but this save against Aston Villa tonight has shown just how good he can be on his day. While running across goal to cover the far post Ollie Watkins cleverly headers back across the goal to catch the Spaniard off but De Gea showed brilliant acrobatics to jump in the air, reach back and keep the sides level with a strong hand which palmed the ball over the bar and out for a corner.

Ole will welcome these kinds of saves with open arms as we all know that a confident keeper makes some amazing saves and a confident keeper is exactly what Manchester United need if they want to be genuine title contenders this year in a race with Liverpool. A full 3 points tonight would put the Manchester side tied top of the Premier League table.
