Video: Compilation of Bruno Fernandes not showing up in big games goes viral

A video compilation of Bruno Fernandes has been published on Twitter which seemingly calls out the Portuguese midfielder for not showing up in big games.

Now – the video is a collection of clips of bad touches, misplaced passes and shots off target – a video that could be made about any footballer but the claim that Fernandes doesn’t turn up in big games still applies.

The United playmaker has made an incredible impact at the club since he joined in January 2020 but people have their doubts about his abilities when it comes to games against big clubs.

Fernandes has even been compared to club legend Eric Cantona by former player Paul Ince, a claim later shot down by Roy Keane on Sky Sports.

Keane has shot down any comparisons made by Ince between current United star Bruno Fernandes and club legend Eric Cantona

During his post match analysis with former Manchester City full-back Micah Richards, Keane said “Fernandes did not do much tonight, the top players turn up in the big occasions and that is what Cantona used to do and get trophies that is where this team is short”

Fernandes has so far managed to score 10 goals and provide six assists this season adding to his previous eight goals and seven assists from the second half of the 2019/20 season.

Fernandes has been directly involved in just over half (31) of Manchester United’s 60 Premier League goals in 2020 setting a new record for most goal involvements since Frank Lampard’s previous record of having 29 goal involvements in a calendar year back in 2009.
