Nir Bitton cost Neil Lennon’s side any hope of 3 points today at the Ibrox. Steven Gerrard’s side have been in amazing form recently and currently sit top of the Premiership on an astounding 62 points with Cletic being the closest to do, sitting in second with 43 points. After today’s match there is 19 points between the two side, an absolutely absurd difference and their loss today has cost Celtic any hope of a title race this season. Neil Lennon will just have to focus on keeping second and hopefully winning the league next season.
Words can’t describe what was going through Bitton’s head here as he seems to rugby tackle Morelos from behind even though if Alfredo had gotten onto the ball it would have been at a terrible angle with another defender not too far behind. It even looks like Celtic keeper Barkas is calling for the ball and will get to it before the Rangers striker but Bitton ignores the calls and takes Morelos down. Bizarre.
