Anthony Joshua was brutally knocked out by Daniel Dubois last night.
The British heavyweights collided in front of bumper crowd of over 98,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.
Dubois controlled the fight from the very first bell until the very end of the contest apart from one brief moment that Joshua hurt him.
That moment was the end for ‘AJ’ as he went in for the kill but Dubois unleashed a right-hand counter of his own and that was all she wrote.
Joshua’s long-time rival Tyson Fury summed it all up nicely and admits the KO could have happened to anyone in the division including himself.
Speaking in the immediate aftermath of the KO however he was more concerned with the defeat for Joshua costing him a potential fight and £150 million.

Speaking to the media later on he said: “It’s heavyweight boxing, s*** happens, you get knocked spark out.
“What went wrong is what always happens in heavyweight boxing. A good right hand on the end of the chin, and that was it.”
Asked whether Joshua would return to the ring, Fury said: “I don’t know. It’s up to the man and whatever he wants to do. If he has good ambitions to come back again, he can make his own decisions. He’s a big boy.
“I thought it was a 50-50 fight. Dubois is a lot younger. He’s 27-years-old. Joshua is 35, the same age as me [Joshua is actually 34, Fury is 36]. Age doesn’t wait for anybody. You get hit with those punches and you don’t see many heavyweights get hit, get knocked down, get back up, and continue on.”
It looks like Joshua’s defeat may be the end of any potential bout with ‘The Gypsy King’ and that would be a travesty to British boxing.
