Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly split from his wife after 13 years of marriage.
Tuchel has two children with wife Sissi, with the German revealing during a Chelsea TV interview earlier in the week that he spent the international break with them and the dog.
It has now become clear why his wife was not included in those plans, with the Daily Mail reporting that they are sadly filing for divorce after 13 years of marriage.
“All avenues are exhausted,” is the claim made by friends of the couple, as is mentioned in the report, with the pair having decided that going their separate ways is the correct decision.
Not only is this no doubt an emotional and stressful time for the Chelsea manager on a personal level, but he also faces the reality of surrendering a chunk of his multi-million-pound wealth.
You imagine that Thomas and Sissi will try and come to an agreement without drawing the process out, for the benefit of their children, but divorces are rarely that straightforward.
Considering the month that Chelsea have been forced to endure, compounded with Tuchel’s divorce, it’s no wonder that they were thumped by Brentford on Saturday afternoon.
