Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel was very critical of his loanee from Manchester United, Adnan Januzaj.
Tuchel criticised the Belgian for not showing enough desire or the right attitude during his disappointing loan spell at Dortmund.
Januzaj went back to United earlier this week after both clubs agreed to terminate his loan deal earlier than first agreed.
Tuchel told Bild: “It is a pity he did not show the desire and attitude you need to progress at his age. My feeling was that he never was completely with us, that a part of him always stayed in Manchester and he compared everything here with United. We were not able to help him to shake that off.”
Louis van Gaal claims that it was wingers decision to move to Dortmund but he didn’t start a Bundesliga game during the five months he was there which has resulted in Januzaj returning to Old Trafford early.
Van Gaal also told the English media that he still believed in the talent of Januzaj at a press conference on Friday morning. The 20-year-old is set to play for the club’s U21 team on Monday night.
