Gang who burgled Chelsea star Thiago Silva hit with jail sentences after £1m mansion raid

As has been reported by The Sun, seven men have been found guilty of burgling Thiago Silva’s Paris mansion and sentenced to between three and six years jailtime.

Silva enjoyed a stellar debut campaign at Chelsea, having signed from Paris Saint-Germain last summer. The Brazilian finally got his hands on the Champions League, a trophy which had eluded him his entire career.

The 36-year-old has now had another good outcome, as per The Sun, with a Paris court handing prison sentences to seven men who were accused of breaking into and stealing from Silva’s home.

The report notes that Silva had near £1m worth of jewellery stolen from his home back in 2018, with the final verdict on the case being delivered by the Parisien court three years down the line.

The Sun report that the gang leader and his right-hand man were both handed six-year sentences, while the other five were all imprisoned from between three to four years.

Hopefully this’ll give Silva and his family some closure on what must have been a distressing period of their lives.
