The Rules For Mike Tyson v Roy Jones Jr. Have Been Revealed

Boxing legends Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. are ready to go toe-to-toe this weekend in a hotly anticipated exhibition fight and the rules for the bout have been revealed.

The upcoming fight which will be contested between former world champion, Mike Tyson, and former four-division world champion, Roy Jones Jr. is scheduled to take place on November 28, 2020, at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles which will be officially sanctioned by the California State Athletic Commission. Here are the rules:

  • The bout will take place over eight rounds timed at two minutes each.
  • Neither boxer will is required to wear headgear.
  • Tyson and Jones will be wearing 12-ounce gloves.
  • If either boxer suffers a bad cut, the exhibition is over.
  • Both fighters had to undergo complete medical testing in order to be cleared for the bout and both athletes entered VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency) testing prior to the contest.
