🚨 Lennox Lewis names the fighter that tried to ‘kill’ him in sparring

Lennox Lewis is the last undisputed heavyweight champion.

In 2002 Lewis and old rival, Mike Tyson finally settled their rivalry with the Brit scoring an eighth-round finish against β€˜Iron Mike’

But many years earlier the pair had famously shared rounds in the ring in sparring.

Tyson was ripping through the heavyweight scene in the mid 80s while Lewis arrived later making his professional debut in 1989.

In 1989 Tyson staggeringly had a record of 35-0, so it’s clear to see the rivals developed at different times.

And speaking to Joe Rogan, Lewis revealed they met when they were novices.

He said: β€œFirst day in the gym, bell went, he came across and he was trying to kill me.”

β€œI did my Muhammad Ali thing obviously and stayed away from his power, but the first day was really hectic.”

β€œThe second day was a little hectic but got better as it went along, and then the last day I actually got the better of him.”
