The moment Niall Quinn knew Roy Keane was going to be great player says it all about his determination and will to succeed at the very top. The two were teammates for Ireland for years and Niall Quinn was once Roy Keane’s boss at as Sunderland Chairman, with Niall Quinn choosing to choose Roy Keane as their manager a number of years ago.
Here is Niall Quinn talking to Virgin Media Sport about the time Quinn was playing for Manchester City and Roy Keane was playing for Manchester United and basically running the whole team as Quinn says, see it below;
"I looked at it and went, 'oh my God, that ref is scared stiff of Roy Keane.'"

Roy Keane was of course part of that great Manchester United team that dominated England for years, including winning that historic treble in 1999. Keane was effectively another version of Alex Ferguson on the pitch and drove that team forward and was the heart beat for what they won over all those years.
