The two time World Cup winner Steven Kitshoff has been forced to retire for the game of rugby union. A massive blow and very sad to see the 33 year old have to hang up his boots when he still had a lot more to give to the game.

He is wise to do this – a neck fracture at this level is better to protect than to challenge when it is fixed He has been a springbok great
Great prop, fantastic career. It’s always sad to hear players having to retire as a result of injury. Hopefully he enjoys his post playing life.Straight into a long and prosperous coaching career. Well take him first at Munster. He can tell our young lads how to mince the opposite props.Pity he had a very poor season at Ulster, but apart from that he has had a magnificent career and has achieved so much. Good luck in retirement, wishing it was not on medical grounds!
