Cristiano Ronaldo has been spotted for the first time since failing to turn up for Manchester United pre-season training.
Ronaldo was due to report to Carrington on Monday morning to link up with his Man United teammates and new manager Erik ten Hag.
However, as M.E.N reported, Ronaldo informed Man United that he would be unable to do so, citing “family reasons,” an excuse that the Red Devils accepted.
It’s unclear exactly what’s going on behind the scenes with Ronaldo, but amid rumours he wants to leave Old Trafford, his absence won’t sit well with Man United fans.
All the more so as Ronaldo has today been pictured at the Portuguese National Team training ground, for reasons unknown.

Ronaldo may well be in Portugal as a result of legitimate family issues and could be at the training ground merely to do some fitness work.
