“It’s always difficult to play in Ireland” – Cristiano Ronaldo reacts to stalemate at the Aviva Stadium

Cristiano Ronaldo has taken to Instagram to react after Portugal were held to a 0-0 draw by the Republic of Ireland.

Ronaldo was unable to make the difference for Portugal as they failed to defeat a resolute Republic of Ireland side in World Cup qualifying.

The Manchester United superstar had an excellent chance to head home in the second half but his effort was narrowly wide of the mark.

Though Ireland’s World Cup hopes are already over, they can take encouragement from the performance – AND Ronaldo’s reaction to it.

In wake of the contest, Ronaldo took to Instagram to post in Portuguese, referring to Ireland as a difficult place to visit.
