Paris Saint-Germain could offer Romelu Lukaku an escape route from Chelsea in the summer, according to Football Insider.
When Chelsea spent £97m to bring Lukaku back to the club in the summer transfer window, the fans will have been convinced that it was the signing that’d help them challenge Manchester City and Liverpool for the Premier League title.
Despite a bright start to life back at Stamford Bridge, Lukaku’s performance level has miserably tailed off, with the Belgian now very much Chelsea’s second choice centre-forward behind the in-form Kai Havertz.
There is increasing speculation that Lukaku could leave Chelsea after just one year at the club, with Football Insider now reporting that Paris Saint-Germain have added the centre-forward to their wishlist for the summer.
Considering Kylian Mbappe could be set to join Real Madrid, Lukaku could be the perfect player to replace his influence at the Parc des Princes, but just how much of that £97m Chelsea would look to recoup could scupper any potential deal.
