Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has revealed that he DIDN’T KNOW he’d just won Euro 2020 for his country.
Donnarumma starred in the shootout for Italy, saving two penalties, including the decisive spot-kick from Arsenal teenager Bukayo Saka.
You may well have seen the footage of Donnarumma casually strolling away from the goal after denying Saka to win the tournament for Italy.

While many would have put it down to the PSG new-boy being ice cool or just incredibly arrogant, he’s since revealed the real reason he didn’t celebrate.
Donnarumma had absolutely no idea that he’d just won it for his country…

A world-class goalkeeper he may be, Donnarumma is either really bad at maths or paying attention.
Can you imagine being the man to make the dreams of an entire nation come true, and have no idea about it?
What a surreal feeling it must have been when his teammates embraced him and he realised what he’d just done…
