Manchester United boss Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has said he keeps ‘in touch’ with Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.

According to the Daily Mail, Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has said that he keeps in regular contact with Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.

Haaland is one of footballs most sought after strikers after the youngster has scored a mouthwatering 92 goals in his first 137 senior appearances.

‘I keep in touch with Erling – it is great to see him become the player he has become. He is a Dortmund player and we wish him well there. Let’s see what life will bring later on.’

Solskjaer managed the Norwegian striker at Molde and when he was probed about a possible pursuit of Haaland Solskjaer responded: ‘One, you know I can’t speak too much about Erling – it’s disrespectful to say more than I know him and speak to him.

‘Who wasn’t interested in him a year ago? For me in our recruitment we have done well. The signings we have made since I came to the club have all contributed.

‘We have to compliment what we already have with other players. I am happy with our model.’

Haaland is one of the most sought after players in world football now with reports that Manchester City are willing to pay €30million more than his asking price to sign him.

Chelsea are also linked with the powerhouse striker and Roman Abramovich is said to have given Thomas Tuchel £260million to sign players with Haaland top of his wish list.

The 20-year-old will be available for £68million in June of 2022 when his current contract with Borussia Dortmund expires.
