Ashley Cole Set To Leave Roma And Head To The MLS

Ashley Cole is set to move to MLS side LA Galaxy after a terrible spell at AS Roma.

The former England international has only featured 11 times in Serie A during 2014/2015 and is yet to play in the Italian top flight this season.

The former Arsenal and Chelsea defender was one of the best left backs in the world during his time in London but Cole has been treated as an outsider since he joined the Rome club and it looks like he’s packing his bags and heading to Los Angeles.

On Wednesday, Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Cole is close to a move to LA Galaxy.

The Champions League winner with Chelsea in 2012 has a contract with Roma until June 2016 and the winter transfer window could be a good time for Cole to leave Italy.

LA Galaxy makes a lot of sense for Cole, where he would join up with former England team mate Steven Gerrard and Premier League rival Robbie Keane.
