The former Italian and Roma footballer Francesco Totti has opened up on the depression he suffered during the pandemic, the Italian sadly lost his father in that period and his wife left him down in his time of need.

“I lost my father to COVID and my wife wasn’t there. I checked her phone to confirm, something I’d never done and found messages. I couldn’t sleep anymore. I pretended nothing was wrong, but I was no longer me.”

Very sad to hear this for such a legend of the game and it’s famous how loyal he was to his club and never left AS Roma despite the Italian having plenty of offers in his playing days.
