A Newcastle fan was so confident that his team would win the Carabao Cup final last weekend that he got a winner’s tattoo three days before the game, unfortunately, it didn’t work out as he predicted.
Eddie Howe’s Carabao Cup dream came to an end last Sunday when they lost to Manchester United 2-0 in the final at Wembley.
The Newcastle fans were optimistic going into the game and why wouldn’t they be considering their incredible form this season which sees them battling it out for a place in the top four.

But one fan, Kris Cook, was a bit too optimistic as he went with his gut and got a Carabao Cup winners tattoo three days before the final kicked off.
‘Tell me ma me ma, NUFC Cup winners 26/02/23’ the tattoo reads.
“I got it done last Thursday, three days before the cup final,” Cook said via The Daily Star.
“I was going in for a day session at the tattoo place anyway to get a sleeve done and then decided last minute to get the Newcastle tattoo on my leg too.
“It was all for a laugh and I had mentioned to my mates that I might get it done, but they were shocked when I went through with it. One of them said, ‘Jesus Christ what have you had done?’
