Munster took on Leinster on Friday evening at a sold out Thomond Park Stadium in Limerick city and fans weren’t happy with the scandal that went on with the match programs and rightfully so!

At the Munster game, bought my programme for €6 (up €1 from usual) and I go to flick on the page for the teams. And to my disbelief, there is no page listing both teams. Instead, there are photos of some players and a QR code to scan to see the teams. It’s a disgrace. #MUNvLEI

So poor for elderly fans or people who don’t use smartphones. Listing the teams would be a fairly basic requirement for a match programme, and there usually is one. Very strange. Hopefully it was just a misprint in my one!
Have since learned the extra €1 is for charity, which is great but the point about not listing out the teams still stands.
That’s because it’s Xmas time and the people who print the programs deserves time with their families as well. Waiting around on Xmas Eve to finalise the design of the program and include the player headshots etc in each team takes time moving into Xmas day.
That’s madness! But reminded me of a time I went to a Leinster game in the RDS and an elderly man and woman in front of me had typed up the team sheet and printed it in large font on an A4 page and kept unfolding it all game to check it 🥹😂 it was so sweet!
Long gone are the good days of Munster rugby it’s a shit show these days no identity no sense of the players being one of us it’s all gone corporate.
