Munster had to scrap their games against South African sides the Bulls and the Lions due to the latest variant of the Covid strain that is starting to grow in South Africa. If Munster didn’t go home straight home they might have to quarantine and their Champions Cup game against London Wasps could be in danger of cancellation. That would be a shambles with the amount of money in the European competition.
This new strain puts the whole Rugby United Championship competition in big, big trouble and it will make it tougher for the South African sides to take part in the competition.
