PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino has told his 22-year-old superstar Kylian Mbappé what it’s going to take to reach the same dizzying height of legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
“He has the potential. He lacks nothing but time,” the PSG boss told Agence France-Press when quizzed on whether Mbappe can succeed Messi and Ronaldo writes the Mirror.
“We cannot speed up the process. I think he’s already among the best in the world. It will take time for him to flesh out his CV, to get the recognition he deserves and will get.”
Mbappé has been in brilliant form once again this season with the French striker scoring 23 goals in all competitions including a spectacular hat-trick against Barcelona in the Champions League.
The 22-year-old PSG striker has already made it known to the Paris based club that he wishes to leave at the end of next season when his contract expires according to Diario Sport.
The France international is said to have had developed a healthy relationship with Real Madrid and France legend Zinedine Zidane which hints at a move to Madrid but a final decision over his future has not yet been confirmed.
