In a bold move Manchester United have signed former Vatican City Over 75’s striker Fr.Romeo Sensini.
The news has come as a shock to the football world as Fr.Sensini is in his nineties and some argue his best days are behind him.
Sensini has signed a one year contract rumoured to be worth £6,000,000 which does not include Sunday games as he has mass and is not allowed to play.
Before his time at the Vatican Sensini had a brief spell at AS Roma playing 50 games and scoring 26 (all penalties).
Sensini is best remembered for his fiery determination and will to win, which helped him keep legends such as Gabriel Batistuta and Frencesco Totti on the bench.
“He’s extremely determined and will do anything to score. One time he threatened to have the Pope perform an exorcism on my Mother if I didn’t let him take penalties” said Francesco Totti.
Sensini is best known for his performance against Craggy Island in the All priest Over 75’s grudge match back in the 1990’s.
Sensini scored a controversial penalty in the defeat which was later overturned because of the Craggy Island’s manager, Fr.Ted Crilly, being such a cheating bastard.
Sensini is expected to wear the no.75 shirt and could make his debut as early as next week.
