Manchester United are reportedly ready to wait until the end of the season before making a decision on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s contract, according to The Sun.

United currently sit second in the Premier League and are still in contention as they sit five points off league leaders Manchester City who also have a game in hand.

Solskjaer came under fire in January 2020 and calls for his sacking were beginning to surface but over 12 months later the Norwegian manager seems to have found his feet in the job.

The 47-year-old has 16 months left on his current contract and should United qualify for the Champions League and contend or win the league it is understood that Olé will be offered a two year contract.

According to The Sun Solskjaer was close to being sacked last October but a string of good results and some help from some old team-mates life at Old Trafford feels a lot better.

Solskjaer brought in club legends Roy Keane and Ryan Giggs during a training session to inspire the current Manchester United squad.

The Norwegian boss invited the former Manchester United captain (Keane) and record club appearance holder Giggs to a training session to help inspire the younger players and ‘create a family feel’ and it seems to have worked.
