Manchester United Reveal The Amount Of Compensation Paid To Louis van Gaal

Manchester United have become the first English club to break the £500m mark after announcing profits of £515.3m for 2015-16.

Outside of profits United have also spent big in the transfer window and a substantial compensation to failed former manager Louis van Gaal.

The Dutch man was released by the club after failing to reach the standard and heights expected at Manchester United but he didn’t leave empty handed.

It’s been revealed that United paid £8.4m in compensation to van Gaal and members of his backroom team.

That’s a huge payoff for someone who is seen to have largely failed at their job but in his final year at Old Trafford, van Gaal did win the FA Cup.
