Manchester United hierarchy hatch £90M plan to appease angry supporters

Manchester United are hoping to appease angry fans by making a £90M bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, according to The Sun.

United fans’ anger at their owners in wake of the European Super League debacle reached boiling point on Sunday afternoon, with some of the protestors at Old Trafford gaining access to the stadium and ending up on the pitch.

As a result, the Man United v Liverpool fixture, arguably the biggest on the Premier League calendar, was postponed until a later date.

If the Glazer family were in any doubt over just how much contempt there is towards them from the Man United fanbase, the scenes that unfolded on Sunday will have cleared that up.

As per The Sun, they have a plan to get the Man United supporters to stand down – they’re going to try and sign Harry Kane.

Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

The Sun report that Man United are plotting a £90M bid for the England international striker, with those pulling the strings at Old Trafford hoping that it will improve the mood within the fanbase.

The report notes that Kane would be interested in the move to Man United, were it to become a legitimate option, with Spurs potentially under pressure to sell if he asks to move on.

While Man United may well be keen on Kane, and definitely ought to be, surely the Glazers can’t be naive enough to think that this would appease the fanbase?
