Lyon star banished to reserves after mysterious ‘inappropriate’ incident involving unidentified teammate

Lyon’s Marcelo has been banished to the reserves after being accused of inappropriate behaviour in the dressing room.

Marcelo featured for Lyon during their embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Angers over the weekend, with the Brazilian scoring an own goal in the 53rd minute of the contest.

The 34-year-old, who has been with Lyon since 2014, may well have played his final appearance for the club – and that’s no way to go out.

According to the Daily Mail, Marcelo has been indefinitely relegated to the Lyon reserve team after acting inappropriately towards one of his teammates post-match.

Details are scarce, but there appears to have been an altercation between Marcelo and a teammate of his, with it ending in punishment for the veteran defender.

It’s unclear at this point whether there’s any way back for Marcelo at Lyon, but that’s not what we’re really interested in, if we’re being honest.

What on EARTH has Marcelo done to his teammate in order for Lyon to punish him so harshly and swiftly as they have, and which teammate did he clash with?

Answered questions only result in annoyance – so we need details.
