John Terry tries to intervene on Instagram as Chelsea star is linked with transfer to Blues’ arch rivals Tottenham

John Terry has taken to Instagram to warn Kurt Zouma against signing for Tottenham.

Sky Sports reported on Tuesday afternoon that Tottenham were showing an interest in signing Zouma, who appears to be surplus to requirements at Chelsea.

While Spurs’ defence looked sufficiently sturdy at the weekend, if Sky Sports’ report is accurate, there still appears to be appetite to bring in another centre-back, even with Cristian Romero having already arrived from Atalanta.

Will it be Zouma, though? Not if former Chelsea captain John Terry gets his way. Have a look at what he’s posted in the comments section of Sky Sports’ Instagram post sharing the news.

As if his contributions on the field of play weren’t enough to secure him permanent legend status at Stamford Bridge, he’s still fighting the fight for the Blues off the pitch.

Terry was raised at Chelsea while also having roots embedded in East London. He will have grown up absolutely detesting Tottenham, a feeling which clearly hasn’t faded over time.

Spurs fans will be hoping that Zouma doesn’t share that same hatred, else they have little chance of getting him through the door before the window closes at the end of the month.
