“Lets see if they’re still laughing at the end of the tournament” Roy Keane questions England’s team spirit

After their 6-2 opening win over Iran, England fans and players would’ve been in great spirits, fancying their chances of going far into the tournament.

Roy Keane in typical fashion brought these high hopes back down to reality, questioning the teams ability to go far and arguing that “team spirit is nonsense”.

Gary Neville and Ian Wright who were sitting next to Keane couldn’t help but burst out laughing. The two English pundits had a more optimistic opinion on their nations team spirit.

“If them three guys, Trippier, Rice and Wilson’s vibe is anything to go by, it’s very cool.

“Very calm, jovial, very focused. It was nice to be amongst, you could feel the energy, very together, it was lovely.” said Wright.

If England can get past the USA tonight they will fancy their chances going forward but spirit can only get you so far.
