Dublin have lost a fan favourite today as Kevin McManamon hangs up his boots and walks away from Inter county football. The St. Jude’s man walks away with eight All-Ireland medals and having played for the Dubs for 12 years. A key part in all of Dublin’s success and not forgetting that crucial goal he scored against Kerry in 2011. He will be remembered fondly by Dublin supporters and GAA fans up and down the country.

"Fare thee well sweet Anna Liffey," began Kevin McManamon's retirement statement, a famous line from 'Dublin in the rare old times.'
