Justin Gaethje launches attack on ‘loudmouth’ Conor McGregor

Justin Gaethje was speaking in an interview with ESPN when he started throwing insults Conor McGregor’s way after his upset loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257.

He revealed in his interview that ‘nothing made him happier’ than seeing ‘loudmouth’ Conor McGregor getting knocked out and he spoke of how he’s even consider retirement from the UFC if the Irishman gets a title shot before him.

Gaethje is currently 32 and ranked as the #2 contender in the lightweight division. He sees himself fighting for the title soon as his most recent loss was to Khabib Nurmagomedov on Fight Island.

According to EPSN, McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh has called for McGregor’s next fight top be a rematch with Poirier for the lightweight title and this has infuriated Gaethje.

“I love seeing a loudmouth get knocked out, there is nothing that makes me happier. Seeing a piece of s*** get put down, that was great, I loved it.”

“For them to come out and say he wants a title shot next, rematch with Poirier, they’re f***ing idiots,” Gaethje said. “He’s been treated special over and over and he didn’t capitalize on this opportunity. That event was for him, it was for him to win. He wants to be Mr. Humble now, but you know he would have been an a**hole had he won that fight.”

“He’s not fighting for a title. I will think about never fighting in the UFC again if he fights for a title. That would be preposterous. He’s sitting at No. 6, he’s won one fight in his entire life in the lightweight division. He picks and chooses who he fights. I would love to fight him but I don’t think it should be next. But he ain’t gonna fight me.”

It’s clear that Justin in unhappy with McGregor and a real rivalry is brewing between the two but do you think McGregor will fight Gaethje and if he did, who would win?
