Poor James Maddison. Not only did he have his Champions League hopes crushed last night, but he was also teased by Chelsea fans while leaving the field of play.
Maddison had a weekend to remember, having won the FA Cup on Saturday with a victory over Chelsea, who just so happened to be last night’s opponents, too.
While Leicester were triumphant at Wembley, they were unable to repeat their heroics at Stamford Bridge, falling to a 2-1 defeat, which dented their top four hopes.
Liverpool travel to Burnley tonight knowing that a win would see them leapfrog the Foxes. Maddison and co may not be playing Champions League football next year after all.

In the event that Maddison misses out, one man who is sure to be playing in the competition is Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, a fellow competitor for a spot in the England squad.
Although, there really is no competition at current, with Mount likely to start for England at the Euros, while Maddison is highly unlikely to even make the squad.
Mount is streets ahead of Maddison at current, and the Chelsea fans let him know all about it…
