“I have a great chance” – Jake Paul reveals how he will beat Conor McGregor in the UFC

Posted by

Jake Paul has claimed that he is willing to put six months’ work into training MMA in order to fight Conor McGregor in the UFC.

Paul has spent the best part of two years calling out UFC fighters in a bid to convince them to enter the boxing ring and fight him. Ben Askren and Tyron Woolley both agreed, both got knocked out.

Of course, fighting them in an octagon would have been a different proposition entirely.

The assumption was that Paul was far too clever to think about delving into the MMA world and getting himself submitted in front of millions, but it appears as though the prospect of fighting Conor McGregor and the immense payday that would bring has tempted him into pursuing the opportunity.

Paul, quoted by The Sun, claimed that he is willing to put in the hard graft for six months in order to get himself into the necessary fighting shape to step into the cage against the former two-weight UFC champion and attempt to cause the upset of the century:

“Who said I’m not worried? He’s been at it for 15 years. But I know I have a great chance given I’m rising and he’s declining. I will spend six months, morning, day and night training with the best MMA coaches in the world and put myself in a position to win. I’m just built different.”

Of course, the YouTuber would stand absolutely no chance against McGregor, even if he were to train for longer, but this has been about money from the very beginning for Paul and there are very few bigger money opportunities in combat sports than battling with McGregor himself.
