Irish rugby player Anna Caplice has called out the internet trolls for belittling the women’s rugby and basically laughing at them for their Six Nations being called off next month. Caplice plays for Ireland and her club in London Harlequins, she is originally from Mallow and plays in the back row for her club and country. Fair play to Caplice for calling out these people, see her tweet below;
If you only knew what it takes.
The early mornings and late evenings; the 10+ sessions you attend outside of your own job; the almost unbearable exertion you put your body through; the heartbreak of a selection that doesn't go your way and the toughness it takes to come back… pic.twitter.com/kOnczKXtAY

Women’s sport has been badly treated for years and particularly in Ireland. If you look at Katie Taylor, Serena Williams and Ronda Rousey these are now household names because they were given the right opportunity to show their talent, surely it about time that the IRFU, GAA, FAI did more for women in sport in Ireland and likewise for other countries, to help promote women in sport and let these women be the next Katie Taylor, Serena Williams or Ronda Rousey.
