Scottish Police set to Investigate Irish women’s team for pro-IRA chant

The Irish ladies team had a great win on Tuesday night against Scotland at Hampden Park to put them through to their first ever major tournament. A great achievement, especially when you consider how hard they had to work for basic standards in the FAI.

After the game unfortunately they happened to sing ‘Oh ah up the RA”, now UEFA are set to investigation this, along with the police in Scotland.

Police Scotland said: “We are aware of the video and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”

The Irish team have apologised since and this incident should just be seen as a silly mistake and move on and I’m sure that’s will happen eventually, well maybe after a fine from UEFA!
