“I don’t want to become a meme again.” – Rio Ferdinand speaks about United going top of the League

Rio Ferdinand is understandably excited at thought of his former team going top of the league but he doesn’t ‘want to jump the gun’ again he told the Daily Mirror.

Manchester United have been on an  amazing run of form in the Premier League as of recent and just went level on points with Liverpool at the top of the Liverpool and now have a game in hand. If United are to win against Burnely then they face going three points clear at the top of the league.

This would mean they would play Liverpool on the 27th in Anfield as Premier League leaders.

“I don’t want to jump the gun like I’ve done before,”

“I don’t want to become a meme again. But listen, as a football fan, you can’t help it – it’s part of it to get hyped up, become emotional about things.

“And Man United sitting pretty at the top of the league after the game against Burnley – we hope – I’ll be excited 100%.”

Every United fan is excited at the prospect but with how inconsistent Ole’s side has been in the past it’s understandably why many have been quiet on social media.

Is ‘Ole at the wheel’?
