England and Spurs striker Harry Kane has shown once again what a classy man he is after the 27-year-old sent a signed jersey to a 19-year-old player who was forced to retire early due to injury.

Peterborough’s Bobby Copping announced his retirement at the age of just 19 after he sustained a serious head injury that he never completely recovered from.

The football community has rallied around the 19-year-old and Tottenham captain Harry Kane even sent the youngster a signed Spurs shirt with the handwritten message: ‘To Bobby, best wishes’ and his autograph.

Copping shared an image of the shirt on his Instagram account, adding: ‘Thank you for your support @harrykane. Class act on and off the pitch.’

Since being forced to retire before his career could even take off Copping has accepted an offer to stay with Peterborough in a business operations role within the clubs academy.

Copping said he has been ‘blown away‘ by the support and he even received a phone call from England right back Reece James.
