The Liverpool star has enjoyed a huge rise over the last two or three years, highlighted by his contributions in the Reds Champions League and Premier League winning seasons.

However, with question marks over his defensive abilities, Three Lions boss Southgate is clearly not a fan.

Southgate opted to leave Alexander-Arnold out of his most recent international side and although the decision was widely criticised, the 50-year-old is expected to do the same when he names his squad for the Euros on May 25.

That’s according to The Athletic, who claims the manager still has major concerns over the Liverpool right-back’s abilities when faced with attacking danger.

Southgate is expected to ditch Alexander-Arnold and will instead favour tried and tested trio Kieran Trippier, Reece James and recent title winner Kyle Walker.
