The purse split for Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte has now been confirmed, with both fighters set to earn a pretty penny.
Fury vs Whyte has been in the works for some time now, with the latter being the mandatory challenger for the WBC heavyweight title, which has been held by Fury since defeating Deontay Wilder.
Both team Fury and Whyte’s own promoter Eddie Hearn are understood to have entertained the idea of facilitating an undisputed bout between the Gypsy King and Oleksandr Usyk next.
However, so claims Hearn, Fury rejected the opportunity to fight Usyk and subsequently pursued a fight with Whyte, who he is now expected to meet in the ring in April of this year.

Both fighters ought to be happy with the way that things have panned out, as even if the WBC’s split ruling wasn’t too generous to the challenger, he still stands to earn $8.2m [£6.2m].
‼️ Frank Warren has won the purse bids for Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte with a massive bid of $41million. Eddie Hearn bid $32million. WBC’s ruling of an 80/20 split means Fury will receive $32.8million and Whyte will receive $8.2million for the WBC heavyweight title fight. pic.twitter.com/exo1GARDw9

Fury will be banking an enormous $32.8m [£24.5m], while still having the option to fight to become the undisputed heavyweight champion later in the year. He’s the real winner in this scenario.
