Women are coming under the scope as pundits at the moment, especially since Joey Barton started ranting about women in the game a few weeks ago.

Now one user has called out Eni Aluko on twitter for making a small slip up, if you’d even call it that, see it below the comments, bit harsh this;

All pundits talk rubbish. If it impacts your enjoyment of the game so much then maybe it’s not for you

If we’re all being honest she’s only there because she ticks 2 of the diversity boxes in one go.

I’m lost you guys actually care more about the pundits than the actual match

How on earth she keeps getting chosen as a pundit I will never understand. There is some rubbish about but she is the worst

Just have to change the way you watch. I never join until just after kick off in case there is kneeling. Then always mute half time and switch off on the final whistle. Didn’t bother with last nights game as it was always going to be shite.

In her defence she called it at after the game about the ref still have chance to make his own decision but I know what u mean also the match commentary was poor

  1. We don’t need all these special comments, before, during or after a game. Just ONE commentator discribing the match like it was years ago like Ken Wolstenholme or David Coleman type. To many wanna be’s, spoiling the game with their so called expertice comments.

  3. On Joeys side here. The female Top Flight is overhyped, overrated and overpaid. Any mens side down as far as South West Peninsula League, would beat Chelsea Women, but the postmen, surfers, roofers etc, get a few quid to cover fuel and a couple of beers. Yet they know the real game, played by real enthusiastic men, who will also follow a Pro team on TV. Anyone of them with media coaching, could talk about a game.

  4. I agree there’s too much analysis best way to deal with this is to just switch on when game starts. To many jobs for the boys and now girls

  5. Women pundits and commentators are starting to outnumber the men. They talk too much and usually just state the obvious! Let us watch the game without a woman wittering on all through it. Ticking boxes is exactly what is happening.

      I used to love the analysis but now only watch the game.
      It just doesn’t feel the same.

  7. I’m a woman & all for equal pay for equal jobs. However, I am a fanatic Football & LFC supporter, watching as many games in the PL & FA Cup as possible and I simply loathe that women pundits and commentators are reporting on mens football. Even I who have never played the game, can hear how poorly they present the matches and play. Football should be fun, not torture so for our sanity, please get rid of all women commentators in the mens game ASAP!!

  8. She made a simple mistake that anyone can make . It’s really no big deal. People finding any excuse to bring a black female pundit down! Get some happiness in your miserable lives and maybe you’ll have a different perspective

  9. The simple solution is watch without the sound on. switch on at kick off tine, make a brew at half time, the switch off at the final whistle

  10. No issue with colour or gender if they are actually good at what they do and chosen to do it on merit . However , Eni Aluko is clearly not up to the task and in addition to that is showing zero signs of improving.

  11. Women should commentate on women’s football. Its a different game at pro level. Eni can’t even hit the goal from 18 yards without it the ball bouncing once or twice, then says really difficult chances to score are sitters, like she puts away worldies from the half way line with ease and without fail🤣🤣
